I’m taking a break from the traditional Leon in hopes to get better at my style of doodle-drawing. These will definitely be more random, but hopefully everyone will like it.
It was at this point in time that I started questioning my loyalty to cartoon network. Sure, they gave us awesome stuff like Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Dexter’s Lab… But then they started to merge a little too far into Japanese culture than I was comfortable with. It started with shows like Teen Titans, Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi, and other lesser known, 1 season flops. It was like CN got some serious yellow fever, but during post WW2, when Japanese people were not highly looked upon. So they were way into Japan, but far too embarrassed to tell anyone. This led to a bunch of quasi-anime shows that were made in America, but tried their damnedest to mimic anime as much as humanly possible.
Inherently, this type of thing isn’t bad, but it is when people start blurring the lines that it leads to trouble. At least as much trouble as confusing an American show with anime can lead to. Which, it turns out, is none at all.
Further… what the fuck was the name “Toonami” supposed to be a combination of? Toon and Tsunami? That’s pretty bad, those things kill thousands of people. I guess it’s better than the alternative though: Toon and Kamikaze. I can’t even get into how awkward that would be.

Leon looks a little different. I drew the third panel first to get the idea out of my head, then I had to rush to draw the other three, so its kinda sloppy. But I am proud of the way it came out either way.
